The Hand-Carved Moroccan Cedar Ceiling Frieze is a wide horizontal architectural panel designed to be installed at ceiling height — crowning a room with the depth, warmth, and extraordinary craftsmanship of traditional Moroccan woodwork. Design
The frieze is composed of three concentric zones in perfect harmony:
- Central pierced arabesque lattice field — a continuous repeating pattern of interlocking curved stems and quatrefoil floral nodes, hand-carved in full openwork. The design flows seamlessly from end to end, creating the impression of an infinite arabesque. Natural light passes through the carving, casting intricate lace-like shadow patterns across the ceiling and upper walls throughout the day.
- Fine floral scroll border band — a delicate repeating floral scroll frames the pierced field on all four sides, adding a refined decorative transition between the openwork and the outer frame
- Clean cedar outer frame — a precise solid cedar frame with mitred corners provides a crisp architectural finish, ready to be mounted flush against any surface
